700bhp Porsche plug-in hybrid for New Audi RS 7
The new Audi RS 7 will be Audi sports first plug in hybrid. Due to go on sale towards the end of 2018 it is likely to command a big premium over the conventionally powered V8. Prices and specs are due for release closer to the cars launch.
The all new Audi RS 7 will feature an optional 700bhp plug-in powertrain. This will offer a short all-electric range and improved performance. Those that don't opt for the hybrid powertrain will benefit form the same VW Group twin turbo V8 engine found in the Bentley Continental GT and the Panamera Turbo.
- Both models regular and hybrid come with the latest 8 speed s-tronic gearbox with drive going to all four wheels via the venerable quattro system,
- The standard V8 will have 650bhp and 800Nm torque
- 0 - 62mph in less than 4 seconds
- Limited top speed 155mph but remove the limiter and speeds should hit 190mph
